As of January 1, 2016, charter buses that travel across state lines will be required to get an apportioned bus plate (BC plate) or trip permits before crossing state lines. Charter buses will also need the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) license and fuel decal or get fuel permits before crossing state lines.
