Titling Class for Auto Dealers

The SCDMV offers training sessions designed for automobile dealership employees who complete vehicle titling and registration documents for customers. These sessions cover:

  • Accurately completing the Title Application (SCDMV Form 400)
  • Verifying an application package is complete without errors, including all required documents
  • Indicating the correct odometer mileage and odometer brands on the application and supporting paperwork
  • Computing gross vehicle weight rates for property-carrying vehicles
  • Handling title reassignment errors

Please note that this training is not required for obtaining a dealer license. For more information about becoming a licensed dealer, contact the Business License Unit at (803) 896-2611.

To earn your completion certificate, score at least 80% on the quiz and ensure your contact information is accurate at the end.
